Katherine Lench was born in Los Angeles, and has been performing professionally since 1975. She is equally at home on film, television, stage, cabaret, or behind a microphone!

If you listen very carefully, you can hear her in Theme Parks all over the world. In Paris, she frightens guests daily singing the role of Melanie, the Haunted Bride, in Disney’s Phantom Manor. In Florida, she screams on the Tower of Terror, and in Mickey’s Toontown, in Anaheim, she is Clara Cluck, the singing chicken, giving her special singing lessons! You can hear her on-line as the lost little boy on the Tower of Terror game.

She is “Fabulous 690 AM Radio‘s, Fabulous Find” for February 2004, and will be competing this year for the top prize!

Stage credits include: The First National Touring companies of “They’re Playing Our Song,” (directed by Robert Moore, and starring Victor Garber and Ellen Greene) and the Tony Award winning, “Nine.” (directed by Tommy Tune, and starring Sergio Franchi). She was in the original “Goya…A Life in Song,” performed at the Hollywood Bowl, starring Placido Domingo, and she has sung with John Raitt, in “The Most Happy Fella,” in Pasadena, CA. Katherine has performed, Off Broadway, in the original productions of: A…My Name is Alice and Oh Johnny!

Regionally she has starred as Fanny Brice in “Funny Girl,” (PCPA Theaterfestival, Solvang, CA.), Reno Sweeney in, “Anything Goes,” (Cabrillo Music Theater, Thousand Oaks, CA), Annabel Glick, in “Lucky Stiff,” Lucy in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” Dinah Donewell in “Liberty’s Taken,” (directed by Julie Taymor) Madame Dubbonet in “The Boyfriend,” Desiree in “A Little Night Music,” and “Solly’s Follies,” at the Variety Arts Club in Los Angeles, to name a few.

New York and Los Angeles audiences have enjoyed her cabaret shows, and even a happy few on Nantucket Island!

This year, Katherine appeared in her first film, “The End of Suffering, As We Know It.” She has appeared in various commercials, and television audiences may have seen her on “What’s Happening!” “Maude,” or the Soap Opera, “Loving”

She has sung the “Star Spangled Banner” for a Mighty Ducks game, at the Arrowhead Pond.

Katherine is a Lyricist who trained at the Lehman Engel BMI Musical Theater Workshop, and the ASCAP Theater Workshop in New York City. She writes under the name Katherine Lench-Meyering, and her version of Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp, written with composer, Craig Lee had it’s world premiere in New York City. Her songwriting collaborators include: Steve Marzullo, Marjorie Poe, Stephen Graziano, and Craig Lee and Lee Bursten.

Katherine is also a private singing instructor and vocal coach.
